Spark Community Foundation is a non-profit that provides “hands on” assistance with the management of a complex array of governmental or non-governmental funding streams in order to address key priorities across multiple organizations in a collaborative or coalition to benefit Colorado’s residents and communities. Spark Community Foundation’s services are designed to address two critical issues:
As federal and state programmatic policies have moved towards addressing societal issues in a more comprehensive and holistic way, public funding streams and their administrative requirements continue to operate separately and independently, giving rise to the term “siloed funding”. Government agencies, non-profit and community organizations, however, often need multiple funding streams, each with different federal and state regulations, sometimes conflicting and other times overlapping, to address these societal issues.
