Collaborate. Innovate. Create.

Spark Community Foundation is a non-profit that provides “hands on” assistance with the management of a complex array of governmental or non-governmental funding streams in order to address key priorities across multiple organizations in a collaborative or coalition to benefit Colorado’s residents and communities. Spark Community Foundation’s services are designed to address two critical issues:

  • Management of funding streams utilized by multiple organizations in a collaborative or coalition;
  • Management of complex blended or braided funding that requires sophisticated tools to ensure each funding stream is appropriately used and audit compliant.

As federal and state programmatic policies have moved towards addressing societal issues in a more comprehensive and holistic way, public funding streams and their administrative requirements continue to operate separately and independently, giving rise to the term “siloed funding”.  Government agencies, non-profit and community organizations, however, often need multiple funding streams, each with different federal and state regulations, sometimes conflicting and other times overlapping, to address these societal issues.
